| The Warren ’s have been a household name for gospel music in SE Missouri for over 55 years. The original Warren Kids sang in most every church in Stoddard and surrounding counties for several years during the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. Time separated the “Kids” over their adult years with each having families and careers of their own. Now fate, you might say, have brought some of the “Kids” back together. Death has claimed the blond curly headed lead singer David, and distance still holds the bass singer Bob, who still resides in Phoenix , Arizona area. A few years ago the baby, Larry returned to SE Missouri and the Warren Family Trio reemerged. For the past 5 years the trio has been quite busy singing in many different venues and as far away as Dublin , Georgia . The trio have been featured at the Missouri State Singing convention, the "Relay for Life" event, have preformed many times at Fishermen’s net outdoor theater at Wappapello, and more churches that we can name here. The close sibling harmonies will be very evident from the moment you hear them. Their message is still the same; they are still “SINGING HIS PRAISES”. We hope you enjoy their new CD “Wake Up”. |
| INTRODUCING: THE WARREN TRIO |
Louise Warren Musgrave is the oldest of the Warren siblings. She has been playing the piano since she was a small girl, and is considered one of the best in the area. She played for The Hymnmasters Quartet while living in Mi, before moving back to Mo and rejoining her brother and sister. Besides playing for the Warren Trio she also sings the tenor and does most of the arranging. She has a son, Gary and a daughter, Kim and 5 grandsons living in Mi. She resides in Dexter, Mo. Larry didn’t sing with the original Warren Kids, 5 kids and 4 parts didn’t fair well for the youngest child, but he’s been an accomplished solo singer for years. Larry returned to his home 6 years ago after 35+ years in Georgia. Larry has a son and a daughter living in Ga, and a teenage daughter living at home. They reside near Bloomfield Mo. He has a powerful voice. He sings lead and does the MC work for the trio. Ruth Warren Applegate is the middle child of 5 and claims to have issues! [Ha ha ] We don’ t think so~~ She has a beautiful alto voice. She also plays the piano when we can get her to. She and her husband live in Fisk Mo, where he pastors Twin Rivers Baptist Church. She is very active in the church, and is a great help to him. She has 3 Daughters, 1 son, and 8 grandchildren. |
